Here at UKPT we often hear from many people who live with paruresis that their peeing problems started during their school days. Sometimes it was due to bullying, sometimes lack of privacy, sometimes poor hygiene in the toilets. This feels wrong to me on so many levels. From a lack of human rights, the development of poor toilet habits, not to mention the potential embarrassment and indignity for girls who are maybe on their period and need to visit the toilet urgently.
