CPD Training for Professionals

CPD Certified

Thank you for your interest in our CPD accredited UKPT Paruresis training for professionals.

We have two video-based training sessions available – one for Therapists and one for Health Professionals. Each lasts approximately an hour including video, reading and reflection time.

Introduction to Paruresis (Shy Bladder Syndrome) for Therapists

Paruresis (shy bladder syndrome) is an inability to urinate when we think other people may see or hear us. Living with this social anxiety disorder can be a stressful life-limiting burden. The associated shame and secrecy can lead to restricted life choices, social isolation, increased anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. NICE guidance recommends treatment with CBT techniques.

Learn more about the condition and the internationally recognised methods of overcoming it to support the potentially three million plus sufferers in the UK to deal with, and recover from, this life-affecting anxiety disorder.

In order to access the training you will need to request a password completing the form here. You will then be emailed the access details - please be sure to check your junk or spam folders if you don't see this email in your Inbox.

You will then have access to the nine videos which comprise this training. You will also have access to transcriptions of the videos.
