Thank you for your interest in our CPD accredited UKPT Paruresis training for professionals.
We have two video-based training sessions available – one for Therapists and one for Health Professionals. Each lasts approximately an hour including video, reading and reflection time.
Paruresis (shy bladder syndrome) is an inability to urinate when we think other people may see or hear us. Living with this social anxiety disorder can be a stressful life-limiting burden. The associated shame and secrecy can lead to restricted life choices, social isolation, increased anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. NICE guidance recommends treatment with CBT techniques.
Learn more about the condition and the internationally recognised methods of overcoming it to support the potentially three million plus sufferers in the UK to deal with, and recover from, this life-affecting anxiety disorder.
