I came across this article while I was fiddling about on Google. It's not specific to women, although does highlight women's toilet issues, especially the long queues. It features characteristics of toilets, or perhaps that should be restrooms, in the USA - having fairly recently returned from a visit there I agree that the gaps at the bottom of the doors and the cracks at the side of the doors were a source of annoyance to me. It was originally published in The Conversation - a USA news, analysis and research publication Why do public bathrooms make us so anxious, and why aren't we doing anything about it?
