A number of women are expressing concerns about using public toilets, and especially toilets on planes, in this post-covid era when queues and permission to visit toilets may make life more complicated than ever for women experiencing paruresis. One possible consideration might be the use of catheters - knowing that they are available and that you know how to use them should the need arise may relieve the pressure of whether or not you can pee, and ironically make a successful visit to use the toilet more likely. You can find some excellent advice on catheters for women on the International Paruresis Association's Urinary catheter tips for women page
