Reply: Women's Support and Information Day 16th June 2018

There's not long to go now until the UKPT Women's Support and Information Day. It's not too late to put your name down - please do get in touch if you have any questions about the day - you will be most welcome.

I'm really glad you found the last Women's Day useful Jean. You're right - it wasn't intimidating, although I think beforehand most of us were a little nervous. It can be difficult when you don't know what to expect, but I think we discovered very quickly that we were all in the same boat to some extent. Message received about the water!

I have bought my train ticket and am very much looking forward to the day. I also attended the support meeting 2 years ago and found it very helpful and not at all intimidating. We all found the toilets provided in the building very easy to use, so going to the toilet for once was no problem!
Can I suggest for this year that we have water provided as well as tea and coffee to drink.

We are planning a UKPT Women’s day in central London on 16th June 2018 beginning at noon and ending at 5.00 pm. There appears to be fewer females than males affected by paruresis, but nevertheless some women’s lives are severely affected by the difficulties they experience in using public toilets.

16th June will be an opportunity to:
· find out you are not alone with this condition
· compare and share experiences, with no pressure, in a supportive environment
· find out what has helped other women
· find out what hasn’t helped
· learn about the UKPT ethos and methods for reducing the impact of paruresis
