Catheters for women was created by ann
A number of women are expressing concerns about using public toilets, and especially toilets on planes, in this post-covid era when queues and permission to visit toilets may make life more complicated than ever for women experiencing paruresis. One possible consideration might be the use of catheters - knowing that they are available and that you know how to use them should the need arise may relieve the pressure of whether or not you can pee, and ironically make a successful visit to use the toilet more likely. You can find some excellent advice on catheters for women on the International Paruresis Association's Urinary catheter tips for women page

Further to the catheter use recommendations on the International Paruresis Association's website, I recently came across this mirror which has been specifically designed for helping women to insert a catheter in a toilet situation. www.bright-mirror.nl/en/bright.html

It's no good learning to insert a catheter lying down when really you need to be able to do it in a possibly cramped toilet situation.

There is also an excellent guide on the Coloplast website www.coloplast.co.uk/Bladder-and-Bowel/ho...ale-catheter-guides/
