Hi all,

After lurking on this forum for a few years and 30+ years of paruresis, I finally took the plunge in September to do a virtual workshop and I am so glad I did.

It was so comforting to share my experiences and listen to others experiences that I could relate to. It really made me feel less alone. Since the workshop I have felt more confident in public situations and despite a few misfires I have been making good progress.

I am so thankful to the workshop facilitators for all their help and all the other participants in the workshop for sharing their experiences. If anyone is reading this and are hesitant about going on a workshop, please try to do it because it really helps and by just signing up for the workshop you have already taking your first step on the road to recovery. I guess an in person workshop is ideal but I really wasn't expecting the virtual workshop to be much use, but it really was.

Thanks for your positive reply. The effectiveness of the online workshops took us by surprise as well. Its a good intro and means you can then attend a Follow Up workshop.
