Hope I'm not getting too predictable!
Well done at the gym, mate! It's just as difficult to relax with someone behind as it is when they are next to you, I find.
I'm not so sure about your last comment. I really find it hard to relax with another guy there.
Next week my wife and I are going to St Ives for a week and our son of 28 is coming with us. I'm very nervous about how to handle this. He can pee anywhere which is a huge relief to me, as I was afraid that being unable to take him to urinals as a child, or ever let him see me pee, he would end up with the same problem I've got. He's used to me always using a cubicle, although he has never asked why and I've never been able to tell him.
There is nothing I'd love more than to be able to talk to him about it. I know he'd be supportive but it's just starting that kind of conversation off, isn't it! It's like explaining the facts of life to your kid for the first time!
How I handle going to the loo with him around remains to be seen. To have someone you know there is far more difficult than having a stranger and there'll be a load of questions to answer.
He won't be expecting me to use a urinal, so going for the safe option sounds like a good idea, as I'd rather do that than stand there totally embarassed and unable to go, then have to retreat into a cubicle after all.
I guess that if I can talk to him first, that would be the best way ahead. We really love each other and I know it would actually add to an already great relationship to be able to talk about this. But I am really nervous. Help!!
Got any thoughts, mate?
Cheers for now - and keep up the good work!
